Amirah was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1979. At the age of ten years old, Amirah was named Junior Miss Grand Strand. She attended Myrtle Beach Schools where she became involved with Competitive Cheerleading and entering into Beauty Pageants.

She was selected First Runner Up for three consecutive years in the Miss Myrtle Beach High School Pageant. It wasn't until Amirah's senior year in high school that her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Being a new student, at Campbell High School in Georgia, Amirah, thought it would be a great opportunity to meet new people by entering into the school beauty pageant. That night would be one of the most influential times for Amirah, as she was crowned Miss Campbell High School 1997.

It was the same night, that Teresa Kellar of The Madison Modeling Agency scouted Amirah and immediately booked her on numerous photo shoots which would begin her modeling career.

Since then, Amirah has mainly focused on her modeling while attending business and marketing courses at Georgia Perimeter College. She has done print work for such clients as Interface and Good News Magazine and she has also done runway fashion shows for Oddity Fashions and Bramer Leon Couture, to name a few. Amirah has also done spokes modeling for numerous products and marketing campaigns.

Although, Amirah has accomplished many goals, she still aspires to expand her modeling and to also venture more into television and acting.
